Starting a new year can be exhilarating and daunting. I say exhilarating because it offers a new opportunity to start afresh with goals, plans, events, and vision. Daunting because it brings new goals, plans, events, and visions. So, obviously, it’s truly all about perspective or focus.

I am proud to say that, as a collective body, we have chosen to begin this year with a focus on unity, continuing our existence as a unified community association. Many of you participated in the 2025 elections to keep this perspective alive, whether by proxy or in person. Our collective voice proclaimed that we are more than a collection of homes; we are family.

I am once again honored to serve as your MGCA president. Thank you for the privilege and opportunity to lead these outstanding board members on your behalf. This year, the quarterly general meeting has been moved to Thursdays to encourage greater participation. Please make plans to attend on January 22nd at 7 pm at the Roy Haines Recreational Center on South Village Ave. We would love your ideas and thoughts on goals, plans, events, and vision for 2026.

Just a reminder that dues for 2026 can be paid on the website at “Magdalenegrove.org.” By using the QR code on the community signs at each street corner on Rome Ave., or by mailing to “George Beckenrich, Treasurer, 903 Terra Mar Drive, Tampa, 33613.” Either way, this year's dues will remain the same as last year, $50.
